Many months have been spent defending the new Toyota fleets design and layout. “Bland and boring” is what most tell me. “It’s not that bad” I say. But deep down, even I know they need something to shake things up.

Along came the 86, which helped immensely, but at Detroit this past week, they announced the concept for their new Corolla, and…it’s good.

Just look at this thing.

The concept it meant to “inject some visual verve into its future products”, let’s hope they keep some if not all of what we see here.

The production model should arrive internationally sometime this year, running on 19-inch alloy wheels and sporting an aggressive rear that features a styled two-tone bumper.
