Samsung Series 7 & Windows 8
There’s no way I can tell you how refreshing life is on the new Windows 8 OS, you’ll have to experience that for yourself. But when packaged with the new Samsung Series 7 Slate, Windows Wedge keyboard and a open throttle internet connection, there are few others that come close.

In one sentence: this gadget is a sign of the future of mobile computing (the convenience, the speed and the fun), and a sign of what to expect when you get your hands on a Microsoft Surface.

Belkin Bluetooth
For the sheer simplicity and unobtrusiveness of this gadget, it makes the Top10.

Simply plug it in, pair it, and you’ve got wireless music in your house.

I always say: “The simplest gadgets are the best”

Quadski
It’s a quad-bike that you can drive straight into a dam, and then continue travelling at 70km/h on a jetski.

Anyone who has a problem with this thing being in the AskSteve Top10, here’s some Nando’s sauce:

Now get some taste!

Zooka Wireless speaker
Undoubtedly the most popular and most asked about gadget since AskSteve started in late May.

More people have asked me how to get one of these wireless speakers that simply dock on to the top of your iPad or notebook than any other toy on AskSteve.

AR Drone
Every boy’s dream in a single gadget. And the pervs are happy with it too.

One big problem I have found with this gadget is that the novelty wears off quicker than a fake ecstasy pill at Tomorrowland and in no time you’re bored. You have to be a serious fan to use it regularly.

V-motion Kinect DJ
Since the Xbox Kinect arrived on the world’s stage, we’ve been hearing that “it’s going to allow a Doctor in Japan to operate on a patient in Soweto”. Digital experts VMWare said “screw all that nonsense” and instead hooked it up to a set of DJ decks and a light show. The results were mind blowing to say the least.

And, if the demo done last week at the launch of Windows 8 is to be believed, Surgeons, you’ll have your app for overseas surgery any day now.

Sushi bazooka

Morphing tactile touchscreen
In 2012 Tactus Technology showed off their morphing touchscreen tech which lets keys on the screen appear and disappear as they’re needed using a magic (sic: science) called microfluidics.

Basically the keys inflate as they are needed, ending the touchscreen VS buttons debate.

Running shoe charger
Top10 worthy if only for the fact that it was created by a Kenyan national.

As you walk you generate pressure that in turn generates energy, once you have arrived where you were going you can sit down and charge your mobile phone or charge it while you walk.

#WIN
