ferrari-458-italia_8

Felipe Massa recently led a world record beating parade of Ferraris around the Silverstone track in the UK.

964 Ferrari owners from around the world showed up on the day to add their car to the more than £100 MILLION Ferrari parade which was calculated to have in excess of 500 000bhp on the track at the time. Whatever that means.

The previous record was a miserly 490, set in Japan in 2008.

Some gadgets don’t need to perform well, they just look great so you should buy them.

Thankfully the Ferrari Cavallino GT1 AIR which is now available in South Africa does both.

Obviously the design is inspired by the magnificent cars it’s tailored off of, but there’s been no compromising on the tech abilities either. Boasts 2.2.1 Stereo speakers with 6.5” subwoofer and patented Class HD Technology with DSP for natural music timbre.

Has a concealed Apple dock for your iDevice, but best to use any Bluetooth enabled device to stream music over Airplay.

The most expensive car accident in history has happened. Featuring a 31 million pound 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO

The story goes that U.S. businessman Christopher Cox was driving this rarer than drinkable tap water Ferrari through France on the way to Le Mans when he crashed and totaled it in to the car in front of him.

While participating in the 50th anniversary tour of the Ferrari 250 GTO (known as the Picasso of the motoring world), Cox crashed breaking his wife’s leg in the accident. The car, needless to say, is a write off.

The Ferarri 250 GTO was one of only 39 ever built, but don’t feel too bad for him. Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason was there to give him a lift home in his multi-million pound Ferrari.

Specs on the car: A 3-litre V12 engine developing 222kw and a 0-100 time of 6.1 seconds.
