Here’s a new Mercedes that’s just been announced at the NAIAS and it takes design cues from the breath-taking CLS range, so you’ve got an instant fan here.
The CLA class will see the light of day sometime in 2014 and the four-door coupe will feature what you’ve come to expect from a Mercedes: predictability, reliability and German-ness.
It’ll run on a 1.8-litre Turbocharged engine managing just 154kw, but wait for AMG to get hold of it. Don’t stress about a lack of power though, the CLA has the best aerodynamics on a production car available, beating even the Tesla Model S.
Expect 4Matic AWD and a radar-based braking system to protect you from pedestrians. You read that right.
