They’ve taught a robot how to be creative guys. Time to run for the hills.

A bunch of hip yet nerdy scientists appear in the video below, explaining how they’ve taken over $2000 of robotics parts and hours of qualified PHD work and crammed it in to a personal, intelligent, creative and affordable iPod dock that thinks.

You dock your iPod and then Shimi can:
Identify your eyes and follow them
Follow you around the room and turn the speakers so you always get great sound anywhere
Can identify a beat you clap or whistle and play the song from the iPod
And bob his head and dance with you

Great if you’re in to gimmicks, annoying if you jam like a real man. Also, you’ll have to buy a new one when the next iPhone comes out because Apple will have changed their connector again and screwed all of their loyal users out of their hard earned accessories.
