Renault continues to prove that they are indeed bringing technology from their F1 team and sticking it into their consumer road cars. And I don’t just mean in the form of their impressive new sub 1-litre Clio 4 either.

The Renault Twizy Sport F1 Concept really does help Renault put their money where their mouth is by creating an electric people mover powered and improved by F1 technology.

Firstly, just by looking at it, you get a vibe of a single-seater F1 car, complete with visible front axle, front splitter and massive rear spoiler. Viewed in isolation, I’ll admit it does look a bit like a “special” F1 car; the type that might require a crash helmet while playing soccer, but give it a chance and it’ll grow on you.

Power is accentuated by a KERS system, similar to that used in F1, which stores and uses power developed under braking to get the Twizy Sport F1 Concept upto 74kw and a 0-100 time identical the epic Megane RS 265, at one time the fastest hot hatch in the world. Before Mini ruined their day.
