After decades of basement inventors re-making another beer delivery robot, finally someone has come up with an original food delivery system: the Popinator.

By using a binaural microphone system and sensitive audio receivers, the Popinator waits until it hears the word “POP” before coming alive, taking aim at the direction and source of the sound with it’s cannon, and then fires a piece of popcorn in to the air.

Apparently it’s surprisingly accurate, but some work on the part of the human is still necessary.

Two other problems: only one piece at a time and I’m not so comfortable at the idea of a machine treating me like a dog who is getting a treat.
