Colorado-based company Zeal

has showed off the iON video goggles, and once you think about it you’ll agree that this idea is so much better than a Go Pro camera. Although, you’d probably look like a proper tonsil wearing these things while mountain-biking in the bush.

The goggles capture 1080p HD video, and 8MP photos with the onboard camera. iON also have anti-fog optics and an impact resistant frame, problems you’ll encounter while snowboarding the mountains of Colorado.

It shoots in wide-angle to catch as much action as possible.

iON has controls on the side which are operational even if you’re wearing thick gloves and it runs on a lithium-ion battery which is good for 3 hours of service.

Playback is possible on the device, and it can connect to social media like Facebook and Twitter.
