Google have announced the next generation of their AR or VR or whatever R gadget, Google Glass. And still, comments on websites around the world continue to complain about how dumb everybody looks while wearing them. Where were you guys when Bluetooth headsets were the rage 10 years ago, or when people started taking pictures on their iPads?

Regardless, there’s no stopping the future from happening, and the new gen of Google Glass represents a new hardware update and the device will now be compatible with existing prescription eyeglasses, so moderately blind people can now use them too. They’ve also replaced the creepy bone-conduction speaker in the ear with an external, more familiar mono earbud.

Still not available in South Africa. And thank God for that. This device is only going to give Cape Townians more ability to snub visitors to their fine city.
