No Sies! A waterproof drone camera that follows you around #LilyCamera

Remember where you are as you read these lines. Because one day you’re going to want to look back and say “that was the day that things changed”!

We’ve arrived everybody. Welcome to the new world. A world where robots obey the movements of our wrists and personal drones follow us around as we skateboard, kayak, snowboard or visit the Scottish highlands with our aging relatives.

The Lily Camera is a drone equipped with a 12MP 1080p 60 fps / 720p 120 fps camera that tracks your movement (from pretty much anywhere) according to a waterproof wrist case that encloses the receiver. The camera is capable of Full HD slo-mo as well. Slo-mo is to cameras in 2015 what hula hoops were to hips in the 60s.

Lily is capable of following, leading or looping you to take pretty jaw-dropping tracking shots. And it can do it for up to 20 minutes at a time. It will even take still images and can record sound.

Hardware-wise, the Lily has an accelerometer, a three-axis Gyro, a magnetometer, a barometer, GPS tracking and both a front and rear-facing camera. One of the best features though is it’s waterproof abilities. All footage is recorded on an SD card.

Now shut your face and take my money!

Get it: About R10 000 retail but pre-order for about R6 500

Ferrari Sergio is rare, expensive and not for sale because you weren’t invited

sssss (22)

Take a deep breath in. Now take another look at this absolutely stupendous and exclusive Ferrari designed by Pininfarina and sold by Ferrari.

The Ferrari Sergio concept was originally shown off at last year’s Geneva Motorshow as an homage to Sergio Pininfarina, and now news is out that the Italian car maker is putting the concept into production…sort of. Only 6 will be made, and they’re all already spoken for by ultra-wealthy Ferrari clients who were INVITED to buy one.

The Sergio is based on the 458 and the production version will probably be too. That means specs of a 4.5-litre V8 that puts out 562hp and does 0-60mph in 3.4 seconds. The Sergio is also likely to weigh less and cost in excess of $2.5 million.

Radinn unleashes electric powered wakeboard (1 VID + 6 PICS)

swsw (5) (Copy)

It’s another extreme sport game changer and quite possibly one of Steve’s Gadgets of the year. Check out the Radinn electric powered wakeboard.

With a little bit of decent balance and the energy-exuding wireless hand controller, riders are capable of sliding along the top of the water with the effort of a shaved duck.

And it’s about as light as that too as it’s made from lightweight carbon fiber (29kgs) and houses low mass lithium-ion batteries. The board works on a traditional propulsion system like on a jet ski and the bindings are compatible with traditional wakeboard bindings.

The whole thing is small enough to carry and fit in a car or a boat and they say it’ll reach a top speed of 48km/h.

They say it’ll be available around early 2015 and the asking price? A massive R200 000 or more.

Is this what the new iPhone 6 looks like? Rumours, release date and what we know so far.

The iPhone 6 will be released on September 9th, probably alongside a new iPad Air and a new iPad Mini. The invites have gone out and they look like this.

Appleinvite2-580-90

No announcement yet on when it’ll come to South Africa and not even 100% certainty that the announcement Apple will make in Cupertino on September 9th will be the new phone, but with the Beta release of iOS 8 at WWDC…where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

The closest we’ve got to what the new device looks like and what it’ll do is on show in this leaked hands on video from Russian Youtuber Rozetked. Looks legit even if the subtitles are dodgier than a leftover Quik Shop chicken pie.

This is the most in depth and complete leaked video we’ve seen so far and it suggests:
A curved body
Power button in a whole new place
A flat camera lens
A bunch of other stuff in Russian

What else we know so far is:

It’ll probably have a 4.7-inch screen and possibly also a 5.5-inch phablet vibe
The iWatch won’t be too far behind

iWatchrender_back-580-90
We’ll probably be experiencing a new material entirely on the body
It’ll feature iOS 8 which has this mesmerizing timelapse superpower

Keep your eyes open over the next few days for the announcement and any more leaks.
